Thomas Mahon deaf, Teacher and Artist

  • This monument was erected by his former pupils in grateful remembrance of the indefatigable and fatherly zeal with which he laboured for close on fifty years, in the education of the Deaf, and to perpetuate the memory of his artistic talent which he employed in lavishly equipping the classrooms of St. Joseph’s with beautiful illustrated school chats.
