Cabra Cabaret, Saturday 22nd October, 7.00pm-l0.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DHC has recently organised a successful fundraiser ‘Cabra Cabaret’ at the DHC Centre. It was attended by 120 people that raised \u20ac1543. The cabaret included several traditional musicians and the highlight of the evening was St Mary’s School of the Deaf Girls’ Choir. The DHC would like to thank Seamus Clandillon and Pat Kearney for organising the event. This is our third Cabra Cabaret fundraiser and the theme we have chosen this year is a 1916 Remembrance Concert of song and drama featuring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The Martin Gallagher Group of Traditional Musicians.<\/li>
  • The Deaf Tones Choir under the direction of Shirley Higgins.<\/li>
  • “Last Moments of the 1916 Leaders”. A drama performed by the Mater Hospital Drama Group.<\/li>
  • A talk by James Connolly Herron, grandson of 1916 leader James Connolly, about the 1916 Rising<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
